About us
Guidance with patience, honesty and the whole family in the room.
Disha Education helps students and parents make one of life's biggest decisions with clarity — through personalised counselling that comes to your home, exam preparation linked to real goals, and support all the way to admission.
Our mission
“Every student deserves advice that is about them — not about the most popular course, the loudest advertisement or the nearest coaching centre.”
Indian families face an overwhelming number of choices: thousands of colleges, dozens of entrance exams, changing admission rules and advice that often contradicts itself. Too often, decisions get made on rank alone, or on what a relative's child did.
We started Disha Education to slow that decision down and make it personal. Our counsellors visit families at home, where students speak more freely and parents can take part fully. We listen first, then help the family choose a course, a set of exams and a shortlist of colleges that fit — and we stay with them through admission.
Our approach
A student-first, parent-inclusive method.
The same four stages guide every family we work with, whether the student is choosing a stream in Class 10 or a college after Class 12.
- 01
Understand
The student's academics, interests, strengths and temperament — and the family's goals, budget and constraints.
- 02
Explore
Careers, courses and colleges that genuinely fit, including options the family may not have considered.
- 03
Decide
A balanced shortlist and exam plan the student and parents agree on, with the reasoning written down.
- 04
Support
Preparation check-ins, applications, counselling rounds and admission — until the student is on campus.
Our values
What we hold ourselves to.
- Student first
- The student's aptitude and happiness come before trends, rankings or anyone's commission.
- Honest by default
- We explain trade-offs openly — including when a costly option isn't worth it.
- Parents as partners
- Decisions work best when the family hears the same advice together.
- Evidence over hype
- We work from official information and verify before we recommend.
How our counsellors work
The counsellor's job is to understand, not to sell.
We listen more than we talk
The first half of every session is about understanding, not recommending.
Parents are partners
Big decisions work better when the whole family hears the same advice.
We explain trade-offs
Cost, distance, rank, branch, career — every option has them, and we say so.
We verify before we advise
Fees, eligibility and dates change. We check official sources before recommending.
What we will never do
- Guarantee admission to any college
- Push management-quota or donation seats
- Recommend a college because of a commission
- Rush a family into a decision
What we guarantee is careful, honest guidance — and that we'll be there at every step.
